Always fully covered by schoolmarms
They used a ruler to spank your hand
Or put your nose in a corner to stand

Swollen ankles and tired feet
The place where soles and floor meet
Ten fingers and toes, calculated math
Wash often to avoid staph

Here at the Academy of hard knocks
Our ills, like heartache and chickenpox
Teach us to whine and complain
Because of our low threshold for pain

Medical insurance and doctor bills
The ever rising cost of pharmacy pills
This is the human condition tuition
Kind of sad, death is graduation
