Living under the influence of TV
This, for many, is our tendency
It’s our menu for food
That also determines what’s cool, dude

Though who we hang around
Is subject to our smile or frown
I like the cup-half-full crowd
You know, the silver lining cloud

Make lemons into lemonades
Been doing that for almost six decades
See, we live under the shadow of the Almighty
So the present state is not our fate

Tighten up your belt
Don’t settle for the hand you are dealt
Resist the temptation to sulk and pout
With Jesus, you are never counted out

Find those who build you up
Who listen and don’t interrupt
Pray for us to be one of those
On the list of those chose

Let us get arrested for an L.U.I.
For being a person of pie in the sky
Manna from heaven, our daily diet
