NIGHT SIGHTS
Roger A. Davis
My favorite, a shooting star
This wins by far
Some make a wish when seeing
Others say it’s the birth of a human being
Waxing, waning of the moon
Accompanied by a coyote’s tune
When it’s in full glow
It is quite a show
Comets are okay
Not much movement each day
Moons, stars and planets in constellations
Discoveries are scientific sensations
Sighting of satellites
A common thing most nights
Jets heading to their destinations
I wonder what are the passengers’ final locations
Most of these sights have been for all civilizations
A source of many revelations
Yet, for me
Just another wonderful part of His Glory
