Like a phone call ringing
You sit there hoping
Sometimes even moping
That it will be a reply
Alas, no, it is an ad. Sigh
Don’t people care
That you’re sitting on the edge of your chair?
Needing to hear the good news
Or, at the least, their reply
Because no news, we stew
Waiting until, “Send!” we cry
Don’t be a no-reply friend, we sigh
